Migrate

Migrating from Sprout Social to Extudio

For people paying for a full social suite when what they use is writing and scheduling for X.

Overview

Sprout Social is built for social media teams: publishing across networks, a shared inbox for messages and comments, analytics and reporting, and workflows for several people working together.

Extudio covers the writing and publishing side for X only. It's built for one person or one brand: an AI that writes in your brand's voice, threads, replies and long-form articles, AI images, and a queue that posts on time from our servers.

Where things live

The same jobs, under different names. What you used in Sprout Social, and where to find it in Extudio.

Key differences

  • Built only for X, with a dedicated tool for threads, replies and long-form articles.
  • A brand kit drives every draft: voice, pillars, glossary and don'ts, set once.
  • AI images are built in.
  • Plans don't count seats or channels; they differ by AI drafts, images and connected X accounts.

What Extudio doesn't do

Worth knowing before you switch. If one of these is the reason you use Sprout Social, keep it for that.

  • Other networks.
  • A shared inbox for messages, mentions and comments.
  • Analytics, reports and social listening.
  • Team seats, roles and approval workflows. Each Extudio account is one login with one brand.
  • Importing your Sprout Social schedule. Copy the X posts you want into Compose.

Moving over, step by step

  1. Create your account. Sign up with Google, X or your email. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card.
  2. Set up your brand. Give the brand wizard your website and it drafts your positioning, voice and pillars (paid plans), or fill in your name, story and voice by hand. Every draft reads from it from then on.
  3. Move your scheduled X posts. Paste the X posts still scheduled in Sprout Social into Compose and schedule them, then remove them there so nothing posts twice.
  4. Connect X. Connect your account through X's official sign-in (Creator and Pro). We never see your password, and you can disconnect from settings.
  5. Set your posting slots. In settings, add the days and times you want to post. Scheduled posts fill those slots and publish from our servers, browser closed.

Pricing

Extudio has a free plan with no time limit and no card, and two paid plans. AI is included in the paid plans; there are no API keys to bring.

  • Free, $0: the tweet, thread and article editor, X-accurate preview, drafts queue and brand kit; posts go out through X’s own composer.
  • Creator, $19/month: 300 AI drafts, 50 images, up to 2 X accounts and scheduled auto-posting.
  • Pro, $49/month: 1,500 AI drafts, 250 images, up to 5 X accounts and scheduled auto-posting.

Details about Sprout Social reflect its public website as of November 2026 and may have changed since. Sprout Social is a trademark of its owner; Extudio isn’t affiliated with it.
