Migrating from Metricool to Extudio

For people who use Metricool mostly to plan X posts and want more help with the writing.

Overview

Metricool is known for analytics: reports across many networks, alongside a planner for scheduling posts.

Extudio is the other way around. It has no analytics; it focuses on writing and publishing for X, with an AI that writes in your brand's voice, tools for threads, replies and long-form articles, and a queue that posts on time.

Where things live

The same jobs, under different names. What you used in Metricool, and where to find it in Extudio.

Key differences

  • Writing tools for each X format: tweets and threads, replies, long-form articles.
  • A brand kit drives every draft, so the AI writes in your voice.
  • AI images are built in.
  • Failed posts come back to the queue with X's reason and a one-click retry.

What Extudio doesn't do

Worth knowing before you switch. If one of these is the reason you use Metricool, keep it for that.

  • Analytics and reports. The overview shows only how many posts are drafted, ready, scheduled and posted.
  • Posting to networks other than X.
  • Managing several brands from one login. Each Extudio account has one brand.
  • Importing your Metricool planner. Copy the X posts you want into Compose.

Moving over, step by step

  1. Create your account. Sign up with Google, X or your email. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card.
  2. Set up your brand. Give the brand wizard your website and it drafts your positioning, voice and pillars (paid plans), or fill in your name, story and voice by hand. Every draft reads from it from then on.
  3. Move your scheduled X posts. Paste the X posts waiting in Metricool's planner into Compose and schedule them, then remove them there so nothing posts twice.
  4. Connect X. Connect your account through X's official sign-in (Creator and Pro). We never see your password, and you can disconnect from settings.
  5. Set your posting slots. In settings, add the days and times you want to post. Scheduled posts fill those slots and publish from our servers, browser closed.

Pricing

Extudio has a free plan with no time limit and no card, and two paid plans. AI is included in the paid plans; there are no API keys to bring.

  • Free, $0: the tweet, thread and article editor, X-accurate preview, drafts queue and brand kit; posts go out through X’s own composer.
  • Creator, $19/month: 300 AI drafts, 50 images, up to 2 X accounts and scheduled auto-posting.
  • Pro, $49/month: 1,500 AI drafts, 250 images, up to 5 X accounts and scheduled auto-posting.
